There are two different layouts on Engine Brake Graph:
Engine Brake Graph
Engine Brake Graph, Gradient
The engine brake graph shows the maximum brake force for different gears (red curve). Under Main Menu>>Options, another braking device (retarder or VEB) can be selected. This will then be shown as the total braking force in the graph (green curve). "EPG" means exhaust brake. Both calculations include engine friction.
If you select a VEB-engine (engines starting with "VEB"), the red curve will be for the VEB. If you add a retarder, the green curve will be for VEB + retarder.
Under Main Menu>>Options>>Grades different grades can be set. These gradelines shows what grade you can keep the truck at constant speed.

Example
The intersection between a gear and a grade line gives the constant speed the vehicle will have in that incline.
Point 1 is the speed with exhaust brake in a 6 % incline.
Point 2 is the speed with braking devices connected in a 6 % incline.
Engine brake graph gradient calculates the decline grade that the vehicle can be keep in. This is just another layout. The same information can be found in both graphs.
