About PERF

PERF is quite simply the first four letters of the word PERFormance.

PERF is an analytical tool that offers you the opportunity to evaluate in detail the capacity of the truck's driveline and the criteria for low fuel consumption - based on the requirements and criteria of each individual transport assignment.

The performance calculations in PERF aim to:

• Ensure driveability

• Optimize performance characteristics (e.g. startability, acceleration, traction)

• Compare alternative drivelines

• Simulate different road conditions

PERF can be used in conjunction with Sales Support (version 2.0 or higher) or as a standalone application. It is also a part of the software tools distributed by Volvo Parts Corporation. 

The application is developed in,

• FORTRAN (the calculations)

• DB Access (the database)
